From peaks of our green mountains to the shores of Lake Champlain. All our waters are connected and impacted by what we do.
- Use native plants,
- Maintain vegetative buffers along shores, streams, wetlands, ponds, and vernal pools,
- Skip the fall leaf clean-up,
- Avoid using pesticides and fertilizers (Herps eat bugs),
- Create a water feature in your yard.
- Slow down for turtle crossing signs,
- On rainy spring nights, watch for frogs and salamanders crossing the road,
- Reduce road salt and runoff.
